I have to confess! My first impression when I saw this method was like "what a strange idea!". I've been studying English for almost twenty years and I've never seen this method. It is a different approach, but even considering all the curious particularities of the silent method, during the research on the method, I was able to verify that it is effective and it is possible to learn very interesting insights from it. Following this post you will see a summary of this innovative methodology.
* First, the teacher does not speak. It's weird, but the method works exactly that way. The teacher's role is to enable students to develop progressive skills to understand and use the language to solve communicative challenges. Teaching comes second, learning comes first.
* The method uses a poster where students can see colored rectangles. These forms are directly related to vowels and consonant sounds, but it is possible to relate these images to other linguistic aspects throughout the learning process. The use of colored sticks to create words or phrases is also applied. The goal is to simplify the use of the language and, instead of using the structures of the language, manipulate the lines and colors, thus, building complex language structures through objects and simple colors.
* The method enables learners to use their own inner criteria to produce linguistic structures in the target language.

método. É uma abordagem diferente, mas mesmo considerando todas as curiosas
particularidades do método silencioso, durante a pesquisa sobre o método, pude
verificar que ele é eficaz e é possível tirar insights muito interessantes

Primeiro, o professor não fala. É estranho, mas o método funciona exatamente dessa maneira. O papel do professor é permitir que os alunos desenvolvam habilidades progressivas para entender e usar a língua para resolver desafios comunicativos. Ensinar vem em segundo lugar, aprender vem em primeiro lugar.
O método utiliza um cartaz onde os alunos podem ver retângulos coloridos. Essas formas estão diretamente relacionadas a vogais e sons consonantais, mas é possível relacionar essas imagens a outros aspectos linguísticos ao longo do processo de aprendizagem. O uso de bastões coloridos para criar palavras ou frases também é aplicado. O objetivo é simplificar o uso da linguagem e, ao invés de utilizar as estruturas da linguagem, manipular as linhas e cores, construindo assim estruturas de linguagem complexas através de objetos e cores simples.
Como o modo silencioso de ensinar é tão incomum (pelo menos para mim), será mais compreensível se você ver a abordagem nos vídeos abaixo.
